CAS delegation visits Denmark
On 14 September, CAS Executive Vice President BAI Chunli led a delegation to visit the Interdisciplinary Nanoscience Center at the University of Aarhus in Denmark. Prof. Bai was invited to deliver a lecture on the development of nanoscience in China. On 16 September, Prof. Bai and his group paid a visit to the headquarters of Novo Nordisk in Copenhagen. On behalf of the two sides, Prof. Bai and Mr. Mads Krogsgaard Thomsen, executive vice president and chief science officer of Novo Nordisk signed a supplementary agreement on the establishment of a joint research foundation in China. According to the accord, the company will donate additional one million US dollars to set up a CAS-Novo Nordisk Great Wall Professorship, which is designed to recruit talented professionals in the field of protein research.
